OCD Therapists in Houston
Last reviewed: October 2026
OCD needs a specialist. The gold-standard treatment is Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and general talk therapy often doesn't help much on its own. So the most important question when choosing an OCD therapist is simple: do they do ERP, and how much of their work is OCD?
Houston has a strong set of OCD specialists, including several practices that run short intensive programs. Below are 10 of them, in no particular order.
How we chose: independent practices or outpatient programs in the Houston area whose own website has a dedicated OCD or ERP page, that describe their approach, and that look active. No paid placements. Details come from each practice's website as of October 2026.

What to look for in an OCD therapist
- Ask directly: do you use ERP? If the answer is vague, keep looking.
- Ask how much of their caseload is OCD. Specialists tend to see it every day.
- Consider an intensive. If weekly sessions haven't worked or you need progress fast, 3 to 5 day programs exist right here in Houston.
- For kids, ask about parent involvement. Programs like SPACE coach parents to reduce accommodation at home.
